Nathaniel McCoy Arrested

N. H. McCoy in Jail on Revolting Charge.
Nathan McCoy, a farmer living a few miles west of Fairmount has been arrested and placed in jail on a most revolting charge that of incest. The charge was preferred by a son, Frank McCoy, on behalf of two young sisters, aged fifteen and thirteen.

McCoy Pleads Guilty
N. H. McCoy has plead guilty before Judge Paulus of the revolting crime of which he was charged. The prosecutor asked that the charge of incest be dismissed and McCoy entered a plea of guilty of rape. The punishment for from two to twenty one years. Sentence may pronounced this week. Nathan McCoy and James (Spider) Kelley was taken to the penitentiary Wednesday to serve their sentences for from two to fourteen years. McCoy, it will be remembered, pleaded guilty to rape, and Kelley was found guilty of theft.

A divorce was granted to Aschah T. McCoy from Nathan McCoy Monday on statutory ground. The action was based upon the conviction of Nathan McCoy of rape, which crime was perpetrated upon two of his younger daughters. Mrs McCoy was granted alimony of $500.
